Emergency Treatment

Dental emergencies don’t run on a schedule, and in our office, we understand that. They can be stressful so knowing how to handle them can make a big difference.

If you have a life-threatening or severe injury, call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.

1. Contact Your Dentist Immediately: Call your dentist’s office as soon as possible.

2. Explain the Situation: Provide clear and detailed information about your symptoms or issue. This helps the dental office prioritize your appointment based on the severity of your condition.

3. Prepare for a Potential Waiting Period: Depending on the nature of the emergency and the office’s schedule, you may need to wait for the next available slot. We do your best to fit you in as soon as possible.

4. Know What Constitutes a Dental Emergency: Common dental emergencies include severe tooth pain, a knocked-out tooth, a broken tooth, or significant bleeding. If your situation isn’t as severe but still requires prompt attention, let the office know so they can guide you on what to do next.

5. Be Prepared for Temporary Solutions: If an immediate appointment isn’t available, your dentist might provide temporary solutions or advice to manage the pain or issue until you can be seen.
